All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. Timothy 3:16-17
The Inspired Word Of God
The sole basis of our belief is the Holy Bible, composed of the 66 books of the Old and New Testament. Mount Olive Church of Christ believe’s that the Scriptures in its entirety originated with God and that it was given through the instrumentality of chosen men. The Bible thus at one time speaks with the authority of God and reflects the backgrounds, styles, and vocabularies of the human authors. Mt. Olive Church holds that the Scriptures are infallible and inerrant in the original manuscripts. They are the unique, full, and final authority on all matters of faith and practice, and there are no other writings similarly inspired by God.
For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit. Peter 1:21
Mt. Olive Church of Christ
Mount Olive Church of Christ is a nondenominational and independent ministry and is entirely based upon the teachings of the inspired writings of the Holy Bible. We will follow no additional or man-made doctrines. We believe in the one True Church that Jesus spoke of in the Bible; that all Disciples of Jesus Christ are unified in the Body of Christ. (The Church that Jesus began).
Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. – Matthew 16:24
God reveals Himself to us generally through nature and specifically through His Son and the Word of God, the Bible. We exist to glorify God and enjoy Him forever. Because of the finished work of Jesus, we can know God as our holy and loving Father.
